| Dear Members of the Ashburnham Historical Society, The AHS Board has been working consistently to get ready for the new season. We have had a meeting at Cushing Academy to research the idea of grants, had tree work done by George of the Jungle and hired Merrimack Wildlife to install one way doors for the animals, as well as rid us of the bats. The Board has met every month (and more) since September to ready ourselves for the next steps. All of our state and local paperwork is in order, listing us as a non profit charitable organization. We have raised over $5000.00 since November with your kind donations and added over 100 new members! We have many projects in the works, partaking in the “cards for a cause” through the Oakmont Art department, outreach to the schools relating to Ashburnham history, the organizing and cleaning of the collection and the building. The new GFA bank purchased some of our photographs (copies) for their walls and will be on permanent display there. |
